Broken grub translation

Hello, Colin!

Currently the grub translation is broken since 2019-11-25. I know you are working with this bug https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?57298

You told 2020-03-16:

"Should be fixed for the next release:

  https://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.git/commit/?id=ac116bd659b295d3b9e116808d3e1d940dc0fd67

Please test if you can."

So my question is the fix ready for including? Because beta already out and grub still untranslated. Will we get the fix before the freeze?

What do you mean "ready for including"?  It's already upstream.

If you mean in the Ubuntu packages, I haven't been working on those for
some years ...

Yes, but bug still exist and grub translation is broken.

Who can help with this problem? We haven't much time for fixing translation if where are errors etc.

Also untranslated grub is the first thing average user will see. And it can be the first bad impression from OS.

What do you mean "ready for including"?  It's already upstream.

from Foundations to apply this to the Ubuntu package.

I'm having a look now, could you give an example of some strings that
should be translatable and current aren't? Just to be able to confirm a fix

time on a package upload)

Launchpad had memory of existing translations so hopefully it should be
fine with the next langpack update

The template is going to be overwrite with a buggy version every time
there is an upload (it just happened and I fixed it), I've submitted a
proper fix to the package
