I want to use programs via ssh to control pulsaudio on a remote (well,
actually across the room) system and I can't see how to do it.
If I run, for example, pavucontrol via ssh it says it's running on the
remote system but what it actually controls are the local sound devices.
Presumably what's happening is that pavucontrol (or whatever) is
connecting to the local dBus (or something like that) which means
it controls the local sounds devices.
Is there any way round this, i.e. can one tell pavucontrol to talk to
the sound devices on the system where it is running somehow?
