KDE updates today

[O. Sinclair]

ON Kubuntu 12.04 with updates ppa enabled. Kubuntu today wants to
upgrade over 300 packages and it all seems to KDE... anyone knows if
4.8.4 has been released or what?

I am on KDE 4.8.3, in other words.

To answer my own question: the updates are coming via precise-updates
repo and are labelled 4.8.3 so I assume some sort of "now mature to move
from kubuntu updates ppa to precise-updates"

Me too, but only 130 packages although I am on 4.8.3 from PPA from quite
awhile... Strange for me though.

Nothing for me. Odd. I even switched to the main server and checked
again.

Well as I said I think they were just "updates" from "regular repo" that
replaced my versions from Kubuntu-ppa.

If it's not KDE 4.8.4, I probably got it earlier from "proposed"... not sure
how it works, just sure I want everything NOW *g*

Your question was answered, but I thought I'd add that the release date for 4.8.4 is supposed to be 2012/06/05.

The KDE team has tagged the source today, so bleeding distros such as chakra(arch) and gentoo are getting it.  Bleeding/testing repos for Kubs should get it in a couple of days, and stable repos should get it a couple of days after release.
