Linux in space ....

Barry Drake
I really love this article:
http://www.zdnet.com/to-the-space-station-and-beyond-with-linux-7000014958/?s_cid=e552&ttag=e552
A pity it isn't Ubuntu, but it is yet another minus one for Windows.

But it is Debian, which, of course, Ubuntu is built upon!

true and lets not forget the reasons Ubuntu is built upon Debian, proven
reliability and stability, not to mention the thousands of free software
applications from a (usually) secure repository.

Back to the article and the comments from people underneath, oh how MS
users jump to the defence of a company which is there to cost them money
and will rush out products before they are ready (ME, Vista etc) and
still take the cash.

just my 2 pence

Pete

I definitely wouldn't want to be in a space station stuck with a robot
running Windows!
