Re: kubuntu-users Digest, Vol 188, Issue 1

Rick Timmis-3
Hi

I did a quick search on KDE Bugs. I'm tight for time so can't fish through the list of issue, but I know this has been reported there.
Perhaps you could take a look and add you input/vote. If you send me a link to the actual bug, I'll follow it up with the KDE Team

Cheers
Rick

Why is Kubuntu turning into Windows?

What dev decided that simple minded users cannot be trusted with their operating system and has to be babysat.

Executing Dolphin with sudo is not possible due to unfixable security vulnerabilities.

I understand those vulnerabilities but it is my choice to do so. I don't need some nanny looking over my shoulder, a la Windows.

It's my understanding that the kde devs did this, not Kubuntu. Yes, it's
extremely annoying.

Aaron Honeycutt-2
I think this is more for the move to Wayland from X11 where security is much different.
