Ubuntu Developer Office Hours Report for 07/02/19

Simon Quigley-2
Smaller time spent today, but some progress was made nonetheless:

 - Followed up on
https://code.launchpad.net/~tsimonq2/autopkgtest-cloud/+git/bug-1654761/+merge/363643
- it would be good to get this merged before the post-Buster rush of
packages and transitions.
 - Asked for clarification on https://pad.lv/1832059
 - Keeping https://pad.lv/1773324 but it really needs action from Server.
 - https://pad.lv/1833067 is a glibc patch that's a bit over my head,
someone from Foundations should look.
 - Asked for clarification on https://pad.lv/1834211
 - Unsubscribed sponsors on https://pad.lv/1829562 since teward already
sponsored.

Want to get involved with Ubuntu Developer Office Hours? Check the
calendar[1] to see when others are signed up. If you're an Ubuntu
Developer and want to sign up, let me know and I'll add you to the calendar.

Thanks!

Thanks Simon for the work and the summary,

I already mentioned that previously on the list but that bug has a SRU
template and a proper debdiff attached, you asked a question about
another bugs batched in the same SRU proposal but unsubscribing sponsors
seems a bit of a strong action.

I think it's fair to say that once those items are out of the sponsoring
queue there is a lot less chance that some sponsors will look at it
again which means we are discarding useful contributions on the basis of
trivial questions...

Could we try to figure out a process to deal with those cases better?
What about setting as "incomplete" there and having the report put those
in another section (if the concern is to have them out of the main
list). Or maybe some tag that allows to easily list such items back later

Cheers,
Sebastien Bacher
