=== Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) released ===

On behalf of the release team, Adam Conrad announces the release of
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. He shares with us the key new features of this
version, including the 4.15 based Linux kernel, the switch to GNOME
Shell in the LTS series, a new minimal installation option, and a tool
to enable Canonical LivePatch to allow reboot-free kernel patching. The
various Ubuntu flavors are also part of this release, of which more info
can be obtained from a provided link.

=== Call for votes: Developer Membership Board restaffing ===

In the update Jeremy Bicha announces five candidates to fill the
vacancies of those whose terms on the Developer Membership Board are
expiring. Ballots are now being mailed for the vote that closes on May
1, 2018. The DMB is responsible for reviewing and approving new Ubuntu
developers and granting upload rights to the Ubuntu repositories.
