=== Disco Dingo (19.04) Final Freeze ===
Adam Conrad, on behalf of the Ubuntu Release Team, announces that Disco Dingo (19.04) has entered the Final Freeze period. Adam gives the standard caveat for any software submissions as well as relating what can be accepted. Finally is the call for users to test for the final releases due this week.
Will Cooke tells us about the Open Desktop Review System used by GNOME Software, KDE Discover and others. It's being used in Ubuntu 19.04, 18.10 and will soon be used by 18.04 LTS. The original Ubuntu Ratings and Reviews, used since 2010, will be shutdown with most reviews being for older versions of software. This will mean when the RnR servers are shutdown Ubuntu 16.04 LTS users will not be able to read or submit reviews, but if they still want reviews they are recommended to use the Snap store instead. Jean Baptiste Lallement (jibel) reminds us that Disco Dingo and its flavours are going to be released [this] week (Apr… 18th) with the need to test the current ISOs. Jean Baptiste provides the links for testing procedures as well as avenues to report any issues. Particularly, testing on bare metal would be great.
=== Ubuntu MATE 18.04 and 19.04 for GPD Pocket & Pocket 2 ===
Martin Wimpress reminds us that Ubuntu MATE 18.10 images were released for the GPD Pocket & Pocket 2 last October, before telling us that now Ubuntu MATE 18.04.2 and Ubuntu MATE 19.04 are now also available. We are told what's in these releases, plus highlights of the improvements that have been made to Ubuntu MATE 18.10's image.
=== GIMP 2.10.10 Now Available for Download on Linux, Windows, and Mac ===
Bogdan Popa reports on the latest update for GIMP, 2.10.10. Bogdan relates that the new version comes with new features, optimizations, and stability fixes. He highlights the Bucket Fill tool, Quick Color picking experience, transformation tools, and parametric brushes. Links to download are provided.

Michael Larabel informs on the progress of Canonical developers working on ZFS support, leveraging the Curtin work on the server installer. Desktop support could land in the Ubuntu 19.10 cycle in preparation for the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS release next year. Links for more details are provided.
