Webmint not working with Breezy

Ashwani Jain
Hi

I was using webmin with Hoary Hedgehog (ubuntu 5.04) it was working good.  Than upgraded from 5.04 to 5.10, still webmin was working good.  Than I also reinstalled webmin to upgrade, during installation it returned error -

E: webmin-apache: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 2

Now if I try to remove this package it returns error -

E: webmin-apache: subprocess pre-removal script returned error exit status 2

Please tell me how to solve this problem.

Thanks & regards

I assume you are talking about synaptic. I had similar problems with
synaptic in breezy after upgrading. They went away on their own. Never
tried to act on the errors thinking that something accidentally locked
up the var subdirectories. I guess if you restart, the lock should be
resolved and synaptic error goes away after a few tries.

This happenned with me as 2 processes started simultaneously or clashed
with each other-- the update manager (which is a scheduled process) and
synaptic which was user controlled.
