Applied to Xenial. Note that I re-ordered the tree to move the retpoline change down to just after the retpoline-changing SHA - to try to maintain the tree's bisectability.

Also re-iterating Juerg's comment regarding bug contents. The idea is that one can go from the git tree to the bug for more info - without having to pore over mailing list threads. Putting the buglink the pull-request would be a nice touch too :)
