apt-get install segfaults

Bugzilla from elcuco@kde.org
Package: apt
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software

look at the apt-config dump, it says it all. apt-get seems to segfault randomly and
thus completelly breaking the system. re booting does not help, changing kernel did not
(last time i checked, but now i only have only one, so I cannot really install a second).

i hope the problem will be over soon, last time it happened it was fixed by sitting on my
ass and waiting (did nothing, and randomly it started working again)
