how to enter path in 18.04 files dialog

Hi there, is it possible to make the files tool (is this natilus??) to
allow tho enter a path to a file instead of a breadcrumb style way to
stumble from folder to folder.

I don't know, but if you type Ctrl+F you can type the folder name and
it will find folders (and files) of that name in the hierarchy down
from where you are.

Yes, type Ctrl-L with the mouse over the breadcrumbs.
