smaller tty fonts

How can one smaller the tty fonts?
I use grub gnome xorg etc ...

I can remember in the past there was a vga entry in lilo ...

You can use "vga=ask" or other "vga=" arguments in grub as well.  Just
add it to the kernel line in /boot/grub/menu.lst.

Here are the vga= codes to put in grub or lilo
