translate software

William Herry
Hi

I am looking for a translate software, my requirement is very simple, when mouse move to a word and hold a key(like SHEFT), it shows a translate

I use startdict before, but I can't make it work as I expected(don't know if it support or don't know how to configure)

I also try a lot of addons on firefox, but didn't find one I like

If you know the software, please tell me

Thanks

I usually use GTranslator to translate .po files and Poedit to update
.po files from .pot files.

I hope that they are what you call as "translate software", even
normal text editors can be used to translate.

Oh, I don't know about dictionary programs, I haven't ever used them.
I was thinking about tools, which translators use.

This would be very crude--there are a lot of translations that do not
rely on a single word, but on
idiomatic expressions.  Even simple verb usage in the Germanic languages
(at least) have two components
in the perfect tenses, and in English we have the "do" forms of most
verbs--"do you go to work every day?"
and so on. That's why you need a real translation program.
